DE LA LUNA
Cristian de la Luna was born in the Colombia of Garcia Marquez. He grew up in the noisy bustle of Cumbia, Porro and San Juanero. He played the trumpet in a traditional Colombian music ensemble, a "papayera" and percussion in the school band, It is there that he found the unalterable passion of his life: music.
When he emigrated to Quebec, at the age of 17, the exile and the nostalgia served him to compose his first songs, play his first concerts and made his first tours in the province of the "language of Molière" .

After Quebec, Western Canada was his home. In the shadow of the Rockies, he wrote songs for his band La Luna de Santiago. With La Luna, he received a nomination to the Western Canadian Music Awards for his album, "Puede ser" propelling him to various Canadian music festivals.
The Francophone community of Alberta welcomed him after proposing his first songs in French. He was also, awarded in the province's most important Francophone song writing and performing contest: Polyphonik, Then he was selected to represent Alberta at the prestigious Western Canadian « Chant’Ouest » competition in Victoria, British Columbia.
Showcased in Winnipeg for the Festival du voyager, with "Rame à la rencontre" showcase, then Contact Ouest in Yellowknife, where he was awarded prix RGE-RADARTS 2017 and western and Eastern Canada tour for 2018. Then showcased in Moncton for the Franco-Fête in Acadia at Dieppe. De la Luna is launched his album Sabes in 2018 and was recognized with Edmonton Music Awards 2018 Latin Album Of the year. His 2 video clips made in Spain: Elle et Sabes will be launched summer 2019 followed by Album release in Québec.
